Larry founded Robertson Burns in 1993 and his focus is on delivering authentic leadership and achieving outstanding, sustainable results.  His company mission is to help leaders be better leaders.

He has advised many chairmen and chief executives and thousands of executives from some of the world’s major corporations, as well as professionals, politicians, sports teams and not-for-profits in the art and science of leadership communication. Based in Sydney, his work takes him across Australia and around the world – to New Zealand, Asia, India, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the United Kingdom and the Americas.

Larry also speaks on authentic leadership, stakeholder engagement, teamwork, organisational alignment, and personal brand and reputation. And he’s credited with helping clients win over US$4.6bn in new business.

Larry’s career began in the British army where he attained the rank of captain. He subsequently joined Collett, Dickenson & Pearce, then voted the world’s most creative advertising agency, where he became an account director. He moved to Australia in the late 1980s and established the Advertising Agency Register which he subsequently sold before establishing Robertson Burns.

For a Brit (actually half Scot and half French), former Guards officer and ad man, Larry, whom many of his clients describe as “passion in a suit” and working him as being “larried”, is unusually self-effacing and readily acknowledges he can be an acquired taste.
